Marketing Executive ? German Speaking | Skrill

This role sits specifically within the marketing department and is a key role within this fast-paced team. Reporting directly to the Ecommerce Marketing Manager, the main responsibility of this role is to act as the client liaison across a number of events? & promotions. You will be expected to plan and execute the company?s fairs and events, as well as managing campaigns and forum communication for Germany. The role could potentially develop into that of a country marketing manager for Germany.

Job Accountabilities

Contribution to the delivery of internal and external projects undertaking the following types of work:

  • Work with Account Management Team to negotiate promotions with the company?s merchants, to drive new customer acquisition and ROI.
  • Monitor progress on campaigns to Skrills customer base. Work with the Reports Team to produce analysis on campaign performance and agree future activity based on results
  • Independently contact merchants about marketing improvements on product integration.
  • Set-up online analytics to track German-speaking brand mentions and forum discussions.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to any discussions about the brand and solve customer problems.
  • Attend fairs around the globe to ensure perfect execution of the event.
  • Working closely with the Design and Copy along with external agencies to develop and deliver Corporate Events, Conferences, Exhibitions, including branding and stand design.
  • Marketing and publicising the event.
  • Develop and agree content of event briefs with Marketing and Product and provide a clear direction for event theme, message, and purpose.
  • Source hospitality packages, entertainment, venues, stand contractors, from a wide range of suppliers, negotiate prices where necessary.
  • Critically evaluate creative proposals against the agreed event brief, making recommendations and ensuring ideas are approved by Brand and ensure are legal and compliant.
  • Deliver project to agreed time, budget, predetermined project objectives and quality standards.

Skills & Behaviours

You will need good communication and analytical skills (verbal/written/presentation), strong customer and service focus and be able to display the following qualities:

  • Relevant experience in event management is preferred.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Confidence and ability to work on delivering multiple projects.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Proactive and inquisitive mind.
  • Determination to ensure successful events, willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks to this end.
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking of the German language is essential as the scope of work spans a wide range of German speaking countries (DACH).
