As an experienced traveler and a person who has visited New York nine years ago, I did not know what to expect when the whole family, this time in the middle of summer.
We were really lucky to have a driver who operated the aircraft as if it were a Porsche, and drove right through Manhattan at night, after a sharp curve toward LaGuardia Airport. I told the guys we will show them a great city and I'm not kidding, it really is a great> City.
After the first settlement in our hotel on the Upper West Side, sweet, the next morning we began to explore the city. First, you search for Starbucks and Subway followed with the children bring their magic, and 7 years, concluded that probably lasted two years to build any tall buildings.
During the seven-day stay, we covered the whole of Manhattan and saw that on foot, by subway, bus, taxi, plane and ferry. This is New York,and it deserves to be seen. Manhattan felt a bit "like a beehive and ant is a sub-terrestrial, a little 'piece of energy that gives the city its power and glory.
Finally, I realized on Day 5 I knew why New York is so popular and loved. Theoretically, there are a lot of negative aspects: as many people to create (up to 6 million in Manhattan alone) on a daily basis to a lot of garbage, and the subway system, although it was comfortable and fast similara human herd during the month of August. The atmosphere here is not cool, but a kind of sensory mix of sewage, garbage, fantasy perfume 5th Avenue and phenomenal food. Really hard to describe how the city smells ? not the most pleasant experience, but distinct.
Regardless, there was so much to enjoy, a wide variety of people, imposing architecture, the best shops, etc. .. But in the end, not the 5th Avenue in New York who does, or the statueof Liberty, or the Central Park. What makes this a true metropolis is the fact that New Yorkers are a welcoming, honest, hard-working bunch of people who are just a little tired sometimes, yet always courteous and kind. In the end, the New York can only be understood through its people. Many are struggling to make a living in this expensive city ? they work hard, catering to you and me ? the visitors. They don?t cheat, steal or do anything hostile to tourists. This is what makes it a great city!
What makes a great city is not the buildings or the display of wealth and extravagance ? it is much more global, that with these things. New York City attracts visitors with culture. Here a person can be himself. Getting lost in a sea of ??people and not be judged for a second you feel accepted special and unique. New Yorkers have an unparalleled understanding of all types of people. Everybody's happy sharesa large city, a large machine that beats a single rapid heartbeat, one fueled by love and hearts of many who visit the Big Apple.
