If you want to ?go pro? in Internet Marketing, you?re going to need to invest some time and effort ? and money, in some professional training.

The Challenge makes it?s money through promoting the use of an online market research tool called Market Samurai.

However there?s no obligation to purchase the tool. The only outlay involved is the small cost of registering a domain name and web hosting for your site.

The course is programmed to be completed over a period of 14 weeks. You have one week of course activity, consisting of around 30 minutes of course work each day.

There?s a small set of videos every day to download and watch. The material is presented by Ed Dale together with a team of other people. Each week of course activity is then followed by a one week ?rest? to give you a chance to catch up and also have a break.

The aim of the Challenge is to guide you through researching and identifying a micro-niche market in which to set up an online business by launching a blog-based website.

A key part of the course is the role played by the excellent Market Samurai research tool. This is a real-time online market research utility, provided free of charge for use during the course, with the option to purchase the tool with a preferential discount at the end. The usual price is around $150. However, members of the Challenge are granted a discount of around one third.

You don?t have to purchase Market Samurai if you don?t want to. It?s entirely up to you. But if you?re serious about Internet Marketing and intending to build a full time professional business online, then Market Samurai is an excellent investment.

You can start the Challenge course at any time. You don?t actually have to complete it over the 14 weeks, you can take longer if you want ? or complete it in less time. And you can download all the materials at once, or when you need them, as you wish.

The course isn?t strong on pre-selling and other marketing techniques but it still manages to cover a large amount of beginner level material.

The Challenge course also has a blog and a well-visited forum for participants which is very useful. All the course materials ? videos and PDFs ? can be accessed online or downloaded directly for free from the site.

My Verdict on The Challenge

I?ve done the Challenge course myself and I found it to be a well worth the time and it was also great fun. ?It was my introduction to the concepts of Internet Marketing. It?s an excellent ?101? type course to start off with. By the time you complete the course you?ll have a solid, practical grounding in the basics.

If you?re looking for a free and well produced Internet Marketing course that covers the basics, then this is one program I can definitely recommend.

Chris Farrell Membership

Chris Farrell Membership is a paid-for course, but the price is very low and competitive and the material is excellent value for money.

Like the Challenge course, Chris Farrell Membership is strongly video-based. In some ways the course material is more indepth than the Challenge. In contrast to the Challenge, the course focuses on building an email opt-in list from the start so that your business will have it?s own email permission marketing channel.

Chris Farrell Membership also places more emphasis on explaining and mastering the IT computer technical side of the procedures. These are excellently presented and for this this reason Chris Farrell Membership is particularly well suited if you aren?t so well up on the technical Internet aspects.

Chris Farrell is an English guy based in the US, from where he runs the course and produces most of the videos and webinars. He has an easy to follow style which has made his course very popular. In fact, Chris Farrell Membership was voted the Number One Internet Marketing Service Online by IMReportCard.com in both 2009 and 2010.

The course also provides unlimited web hosting for an unlimited number of domain names. This alone is worth at least $10 or more per month. There?s a?discussion forum and Chris holds a regular live interactive training webinar for members.

You can work through the material freely choosing the modules as you wish and in the order that suits you. Alternatively the program provides a 33 Day Course Plan to work through day-by-day.

Chris Farrell Membership is a paid-for course, but the price is a bargain at just $37 per month. There?s no minimum membership period and you can cancel at any time. There?s also a trial period of one week for just a nominal $4.95 to give you a chance to sample Chris Farrell Membership first.

My verdict on Chris Farrell Membership

I did this course myself after having completed the Challenge Course. Although much of the IT technical stuff was already familiar, I was impressed with the competent way that Chris explains everything. The Internet Marketing course content was also excellent and?I learned a great deal in a short space of time.

In all I rate Chris Farrell Membership as an ideal training course. You?ll learn a heap of practical know-how at a very low price.

Super Fast Results

Super Fast Results is basically a monthly membership forum about Internet Marketing. It gives you access to a community of over 1000 Internet Marketers.

The program contains a large amount of audio-visual material. It is a little less structured than Chris Farrell Membership and the content is more advanced.

Super Fast Results was started a few years ago by a very successful and highly acclaimed Australian Internet Marketer called James Schramko.

James maintains a ?hands-on? approach to the program, posting regularly on the forum and answering members questions. Along with other participants he also produces frequent webinars for the program.

Super Fast Results covers a very wide range of different Internet Marketing techniques, including pay per click advertising, search engine optimization, membership forum building, creating review sites, bonus marketing, affiliate marketing, email permission marketing, joint-venturing and much more.

It also provides a number of exclusive tools and utilities for members to use.such as SEO research tools, a sitemap creator, PPC spy protector, an FTP uploader utility, and landing page templates.

Super Fast Results also provides a one month free trial period.

My verdict on Super Fast Results

I?m a current member of Super Fast Results and I find the program to be of a higher level than Chris Farrell Membership.

The program?places more emphasis on implementing professional business methods and techniques. Web and computer technical issues are not covered in the same level of detail as Chris Farrell Membership does, so it may be that Super Fast Results is better suited to people who are already more familiar with IT and web basics.

There is also more emphasis on outsourcing and setting up formal business processes.

It?s also more expensive than Chris Farrell Membership, at $97 per month.

For these reasons I think that Super Fast Results is less suited to complete beginners. If you?re completely new to Internet Marketing, then I?d recommend that you at least do the Challenge course and/or Chris Farrell Membership first before considering Super Fast Results. ?That way you will derive more value and benefit from the program.
