AT&T, Sprint, Verizon start carrying iPad mini

Sprint warns of limited stocks

AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon have announced that they are now carrying the LTE iPad mini. Sprint is warning people that launch stocks may be limited; if a store is out of the device, though, the carrier is offering people reservations contingent on buying a $50 gift card that counts against the tablet's price. In terms of plans, Sprint is selling month-to-month options ranging from $15 for 300MB up to $80 for 12GB, or discounts for current smartphone subscribers valued at $10 for 100MB or $15 for 1GB. Activations fees are being waived for all of the carrier's tablets.

AT&T and Verizon's plans are essentially unchanged from their standard iPad options, except that AT&T is offering a $100 discount for anyone who locks into a two-year contract. The tablet can also be added to a Mobile Share plan for $10 extra per month.

Online orders of the LTE iPad mini began arriving yesterday. The device is hitting retail exactly two weeks after the Wi-Fi-only model launched; at Apple's online store, though, all versions of the hardware are currently listed as shipping in two weeks, which may suggest that demand for the Wi-Fi hardware hasn't slowed down noticeably if at all.
